Patrouille Suisse

Founded on 22 August 1964, Patrouille Suisse is the official team of the Swiss Air Force and is considered a visiting card of the Swiss Army at home and abroad. Its task is to demonstrate the performance, precision and operational readiness of the Swiss Air Force.

All members of Patrouille Suisse are professional military pilots and perform only this additional task during the Airshow season.

A demonstration lasts about 20 minutes and is always monitored from the ground by the commander of the Patrouille Suisse: Lt Col Nils "Jamie" Hämmerli.

They fly with 6 light single-seater fighter, jet twin-engine and low-wing monoplane: Northrop F-5E Tiger II, colored white and red and with their stylized flag under the belly of the aircraft.

The Commander "Jamie" flies at training sessions and at some airshows (in particular in Switzerland) with a Pilatus PC-6 Porter named "Felix"
